Cinematographer and Filmmaker
Mohammad (Saman) Lotfian was born in 1986 in Qaem Shahr, Iran. He began his journey in photography as an amateur during high school and soon developed a deep passion for film direction. In 2004, he was admitted to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) University, where he studied documentary film direction. He entered the professional documentary film industry in 2005 as a cinematographer for the film ‘Someone Was Cutting a Branch,’ directed by Farhad Varahram.
